This involved the running of the Durban office, Public Relations, Media liaison; styling of shoots for décor, fashion and cookery features which were KZN based, and the planning, organization and the hosting of Fair Lady
1987-1991 The Buyer Magazine: Durban representative. The Buyer was an in-trade fashion magazine under the umbrella of Ramsay Son and Parker. Briefs included editorial, advertorials, ramp photography, fashion illustration. styling of cover shoots done in Durban. Invited judge for Du Pont Lycra Awards and one of three judges for Annual Technikon Fashion show for third year students.
Commissioned freelance articles for Getaway, (Interview with Dr. Ian Player, Shakaland, Hartford Country House); Garden and Home, (Décor features), Bona, Leisure Life, Hotel and Restaurant, Woman’s Value, Living and Loving, and Your Family Magazine (Interview with Mrs. Marike de Klerk). Other magazines were Thandi (Parenting and Environmental sections), Personality and S.A. Success (Entrepreneurial features), S.A. Hobbies and Crafts and S.A. Gardener.
Creative copywriting and design input for advertising agencies including Provincial/Graphite, Stable Communications and Trickett and Trickett (mainly in the 1980’s). Advertising brochures designed for the Furniture Guild (for the N.B.S. Garden and Home Exhibition) and for the annual IPM Working Women’s Convention.
2001 Commissioned by the World Wild Life Fund and Sappi to write and illustrate The Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk, an educational booklet.
1998 Commissioned by M-Net for K-T.V to write and illustrate The Write Stuff . Print run 11 000.
1997 Commissioned by M-Net for K-T.V. to write and illustrate Business Whizz Kid. Print run 11 000 copies. Foreward by Clem Sunter who later referred to this book in his book “What it really takes to be World Class”. Runner up in the S.A. Writer’s Circle Annual book award. (Short interview on television, Carte Blanche as well as broadcast interviews and print media).

I am an ex Rotarian (Public Relations Committee) and served on the committee of the annual Working Woman’s Convention for three years. Ex Red Cross Debutante.

2003 Completion of Fine Arts Honours Degree through the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus. (Part time) Focus on illustration (botanical) and some ceramic decoration.
2000 Completed the prac side of a Fine Arts Degree through the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus. Deans commendations, for ceramics / sculpture and drawing.
1990 Tourism exam : Local and KZN Provincial. Satour registered tourist guide T 5931. Have worked on a part time basis taking bus tours for organizations such as Thompsons Travel, Springbok Atlas and Abercrombie and Kent.
1983 Completion of B.A. Degree through UNISA . (Part time). Major subjects: English, History of Art and History. Minor subject : Psychology 1.
1973 Begun National teachers Diploma, Art at the Natal Technikon. Forced to give up after first year due to lack of finance. Commenced work (Savings Enquiries clerk at NBS), part time shorthand typing course, stenographer then – personal assistant to Mr. Martin Sternberg Managing Director Oceanair Freight Forwarding.
