Sound as art: Noise as a political tool

You are invited to an audio visual talk by Canadian contemporary artist, Professor Duncan MacDonald, Director of Visual Arts at the American University in Cairo on Friday 19 July at 11h00-12h30 and Saturday 20 Jully at 11h00 - 13h00.

Duncan discusses the foundation of his artistic research in sonic culture as well as sound art while contextualizing this work within a broader philosophical framework. Recent observations and ideas concerning the use of Noise within art, daily life, and the political arena will be shared as well.
